St. Mark’s Deaf Ministry provides access to God’s Word each Sunday at the 12 noon service through qualified ISL Interpreters, as well as proficient signers for the musical worship time. Special events held in the church are also interpreted. The Deaf Community use Irish Sign Language (ISL) as their preferred language – a visual language. During the week, a bible study for the Deaf, led by the Deaf takes place in the church. The Ladies Heart Club, a monthly event, is for Deaf Women and is a means of communicating the Love of Jesus using a creative, fun, caring and supportive environment. Aisling Glover (H) and Martine Curtis (H) head up the Deaf Ministry.
